BROWE, Inc was founded in 2009 by Brian K. Browe, former Director of Operations of Trijicon, Inc. Mr. Browe has over 16 years experience in manufacturing combat and tactical optics with extensive experience in all aspects of the business. BROWE, Inc. was founded on a simple idea of building the ultimate combat optic. Two years of extensive research and development resulted in the 4x32 BROWE Combat Optic.
The 4x32 BROWE Combat Optic (BCO) is a state-of-the-art optic that delivers high quality optical glass, high precision machining, based on a rugged military design. The BCO has an internally adjustable prism with an etched glass reticle and is illuminated by a simple, intuitive, and effective electronic system. The main housing of the BCO is made with military grade titanium CP-2, well-known for its high strength-to-weight ratio.
During the product development, the concept of adding accessories was kept in the forefront of the design. The BCO has a flat objective face that shortens the overall length by nearly an inch and allows for simple mating of clip-on accessories, such as thermal and night vision devices. Also, the shorter length conserves the valuable rail space that can then be utilized for additional weapon accessories. The main housing includes machined eyepiece and objective surfaces that accept accessories. In addition, a 42mm ring was machined into the objective bell and mid-optic mounting bosses were added for mounting accessories such as a mini red dot sight or laser. The 4x32 BCO comes standard with retainer straps for the battery and adjuster caps, along with a high quality throw lever mount designed to attach on a MIL-STD-1913 rail.
Internally, the BROWE Combat Optic has many unique features as well. With the international trend to restrict the use radioactive materials, BROWE designed a simple, intuitive, and effective electronic system, driven from a standard 3 volt 123A Lithium battery. The BROWE Combat Optic utilizes smart electronics and state-of-the-art technology. One of the exclusive features is the Target Light Sensor Technology.
Target Light Sensor Technology detects and measures the light transmitting through the optic and automatically adjusts the reticle illumination to the ideal intensity. Measuring light transmission is a major advantage over the illumination systems that depends on ambient light. The Target Light Sensor Technology gives the operator a hands free solution to effectively and efficiently manage the reticle illumination. The illumination system also has a manual control giving the operator choice of 10 day and 3 NV settings.
